Description: Wayne County will partner with Michigan State University Cooperative Extension to implement a 4H mentoring initiative that will target 100 10- 17 at risk youth from low income areas in Detroit. Michigan State University will identify 25 adults to mentor either in a one to one relationship or in a small group of four. The grantee will report the number of matches made and will report on the following performance measures 1) improved academic performance 2) improved adult and peer relationships 3) reduced delinquency rates 4) increased work force development skills.
