Description: The City of Los Angeles' Community Law Enforcement and Recovery (CLEAR) Program aims to continue to reduce gang crime in the Hollenbeck and East Los Angeles Station areas by: 1) facilitating effective collaboration among criminal justice agencies and 2) engaging residents and the community in crime reduction efforts. CLEAR has shown success in decreasing community violence and gang crime; creating effective cross-agency collaborations; and increasing gang prevention and intervention. The grantee will report on various measures such as numbers of arrests, probation arrests and violations, established criminal justice collaborations and reduction in overall gang crime to OJJDP in their Categorical Assistance Progress Reports.
