Description: This award will provide funds to ZERO TO THREE in order to develop an Infant-Toddler Court Team in Des Moines, Iowa to raise awareness, increase knowledge and skills, and change practice with regards to the needs of maltreated infants and toddlers and their families involved in the child welfare system. This will be one of three Court Teams Projects around the country. Each team will be co-led by a judge and a court team coordinator. These community-based Court Teams will bring together key community leaders, including Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), Guardians Ad Litem, and child welfare, health and child care professionals to develop a comprehensive approach to address the complex needs of these infants and toddlers and their families and reduce the recurrence of abuse and neglect.
