Description: The purpose of this program is to ameliorate the negative effects of chronic environmental risk factors and personal deficits that place vulnerable individuals at the highest risk for either being victims and/or perpetrators of street and/or gang related violence. The program will serve 60 at-risk 7- to 18-year-old youth and their families. Performance measures include the following: 60% of enrolled youth will participate in group psychotherapy; 50% of program participants will obtain adequate housing; 50% will return to normal school or enroll in GED programs; 25% will complete job preparation, retention and/or training program; 25% will secure summer and/or full-time employment; and 50% will gain access to proper medical care.
