Description: The Arise Foundation will provide training to 125 Florida Department of Juvenile Justice staff to be certified Arise Life Skills instructors. After successful training, the juvenile justice staff will receive Arise training certificates. The juvenile justice staff will be responsible to educate incarcerated youth on social skills, such as anger management, conflict resolution, violence reduction, employment seeking skills, and substance abuse resistance. The Arise Foundation will disseminate the Life Management Skills material to the staff and the incarcerated youth. The Arise Foundation will provide performance measures that indicate the number of successful juvenile justice staff trained to implement the Arise Life Skills program and the percentage of youth who express satisfaction with the Life Skills program.
