The program's goal is to encourage inner-city students' interest in the arts and promote school achievement and college enrollment. The program's strategy includes offering inner-city students classes with ABT Teaching Artists and providing public performances of the students' work at two New York City inner-city high schools. The program will also offer a condensed version of "Make a Ballet" at eight middle schools in Washington, DC, and Costa Mesa, CA. ABT's performance outputs will include student attendance and student participation. Performance outcomes will include changes in attitude measured through student and teacher surveys.
