Description: The goals of the Scout Outreach project is to divert at-risk youth from negative societal influences such as gangs, substance abuse by providing an alternative program that offers healthy choices. The target population is to serve 300 at risk youth in Richland County. The program will recruit parent and community leaders to assist in the project. The Indian Waters Council will train volunteers to assist in providing the scouting model to the identified target population.. The project will measure success by conducting a satisfaction survey and the results will be reported to OJJDP.
