Description: World Impact Inc. will implement the Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Program (JDPP) at the Morning Star Ranch in Kansas. The program will serve inner-city youth from Wichita, KS, St. Louis, MO and Dallas, TX. Kids will be recruited for the program through World Impact Inc.'s ministries in Wichita, St. Louis and Dallas. Kids will attend either weekend retreats or summer camps at Morning Star Ranch. The goals of the program are: to increase the number of youth that have a value-based sense of life, to increase the number of youth that abstain from using alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, to decrease the number of youth that engage in violence and join gangs and to increase the number of kids that have an on-going relationship with a mentor. World Impact Inc. will accomplish these goals through a curriculum that they will develop and teach to kids attending weekend retreats or summer camps at Morning Star Ranch. The program will also help provide mentors to inner-city youth. The program will submit categorical progress reports in GMS that will report on eighteen (18) performance measures including the percentage of participants that receive mentors, the percentage of participants that report an increased positive attitude towards others, the number of kids that commit to abstain from using alcohol, tobacco or other drugs and the number of children that commit to abstain from gang involvement and violence.
