Description: The City of Dawson Youth Advocacy Program seeks to increase police involvement as well as community support in dealing with at-risk youths¿ population in Terrell County, Georgia. Primary project activities will be centered around offering classes to at-risk youths, their parents, and other community leaders in order to curtail the youth crime rate and improve their academic success rate. The project seeks to serve approximately 200 kids, parents, and community members over a one year period. The program will be offered to kids in the 5th through the 12th grade.
