Description: The Afterschool Alliance will provide communities nation-wide with guidance and support in developing after-school programs with its National Resource Center on Afterschool and High-Risk Youth. The Resource Center will research and track after-school program developments to offer materials such as fact sheets on the need for quality after-school programs in print and electronic form through its website, will have a hotline number that organizations can call for help, and will produce a monthly newsletter. The Resource Center will report on performance measures including the progress made by organizations that use its services, the amount of visits its website receives, the circulation of its newsletter, and the changes and updates it makes to its materials based on feedback from other organizations and its own research.
