Description: Adventist HealthCare (AHC) will develop protocols to address the needs of children ages 6 to 11 living in Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and Frederick County, Maryland, suffering from acute psychiatric episodes. AHC will provide training based on the protocols to health care workers at the pediatric inpatient unit of the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health System, who will then treat an estimated 250 patients in the first year. AHC will report performance measures on the successful implementation of the protocols as measured by the knowledge of the staff , based on observing treatments and results and questionnaires.
