Description: The Richmond Midnight Basketball League (RMBL) seeks to increase male/female responsibility and awareness by conducting character education, financial literacy and pre-employment training, parenting, conflict resolution, substance abuse, and domestic violence trainings through mandatory life skills workshops supplemented by recreational activities. RMBL expects to serve at least 120 program participants, ages 13-17, in a twelve month period during high crime hours. They will attend workshops and play basketball twice a week. RMBL 's mission is to nurture and support Richmond's youth through organized recreational activities in safe and supervised environments, consistent exposure to life-sustaining information and values, and opportunities for self-improvement.
