Description: Lena Park Community Development Corporation will provide a college prep program (called LEAP, or Linking Educators, Achievers, and Parents) to 60 high school juniors and seniors and a job readiness program to 30 high school seniors from Boston's low-income neighborhoods of Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury. The goal of Lena Park is to increase the opportunities available to area youth after they complete high school. Lena Park will report on performance measures including program participation rates, improved academic achievement (both grades and standardized test scores), improved job skills, increased enrollment in post-secondary education programs, and increased rates of employment by participants.
