Description: The City Parks Foundation (CPF) will offer at-risk youth free arts, sports, and education programs in the neighborhood parks of three New York City areas: Queens, Bronx and Brooklyn. CPF addresses these communities' need for positive youth activities by providing children with free programs in their local parks, playgrounds, schools and recreation centers. These programs offer children unique learning opportunities, physical activities, lessons in life skills and cultural experiences. CPF employs various means for evaluation, such as program attendance, feedback from instructors, performers and site coordinators, focus groups and interviews with individual participants, using their representative feedback, suggestions and concerns to track behavioral and attitudinal change. CPF will report their progress to OJJDP in their categorical progress reports submitted in GMS.
