Description: The Wise County Lonesome Pine Office on Youth will develop and implement delinquency prevention and youth development programs for the youth of Wise County, located in rural Virginia. In addition, Lonesome Pine will provide opportunities for these youths to learn work skills so that they will become valuable members of society once they leave the program, through initiatives like the Stay for Life skills training and learning initiative. The goal of Lonesome Pine is to create safe, crime-free communities to develop healthy families and children. Lonesome Pine will report on performance measures including participation rates in its programs, participant satisfaction through surveys, and reduced rates of juvenile delinquency.
