Description: The City of Jackson Police Department is purchasing equipment upgrades in an effort to keep pace with the challenges in responding to criminal activities. The funds are being used to purchase laptops and desktop computers for staff personnel throughout their patrol, investigations, administrative services, and support services divisions. They are purchasing additional crime laboratory equipment as well as equipment for traffic enforcement and accident reconstruction. The Jackson Police Department is also purchasing a laser shot and line of fire targeting systems for their firing range, in order to insure that their training facility is adequately equipped for training law enforcement officers. They are procuring the tools needed to successfully deter criminal activity in the City of Jackson.
