Description: SEARCH Group Inc. is continuing to manage this national program that provides direct and targeted assistance to state and local criminal justice agencies through on-site and in-house technical assistance, training, resource development and tools for operations system support. SEARCH contemplates the latest information technology advances and their application to administering justice, guides agencies through the challenging processes of appropriately and strategically planning for information technology, and assists criminal justice agencies in successfully procuring, implementing, securing and managing system solutions. Although great strides have been made to automate and electronically store and exchange justice data and information, the justice community still faces major challenges in addressing the complex planning, procurement, implementation, management and integration of information technologies.
