Description: The National Center for Alcohol Law Enforcement (NCALE) will conduct a comprehensive alcohol law enforcement training and technical assistance program for local law enforcement departments. The objectives of NCALE will be to: advance local officers¿ understanding and expertise in alcohol law enforcement; facilitate effective collaboration between state ABC agencies, local law enforcement agencies, and other law enforcement agencies; increase the enforcement of alcohol laws; and reduce alcohol-related harm. The Center will establish five regional centers headed by Regional Directors. The Directors will be experienced alcohol law enforcement officers who will be responsible for assisting states in their regions in developing strategic plans, and then meeting specific training and technical needs as identified through the strategic plans.
