Description: The overall goal for this project is to reduce the incidence of homicide, assault, suicide, and accidental death involving alcohol in local option communities in Western Alaska. This will be accomplished by increasing enforcement of laws regarding the illegal sales and importation of alcohol. The grant will provide the necessary resources for five investigators to work on this project as well as provide community policing training for uniformed Troopers to work with a minimum of fifteen villages.
