Description: The overall goal of this grant to the Alaska Native Justice Center (ANJC) is to improve the judicial process in Alaska through restorative justice projects and legal advocacy service programs for Alaska Natives and others. Funds will support the following: (1) The development and continuation of existing restorative justice projects; (2) The development of restorative justice technical assistance and support teams for communities throughout Alaska; (3) Continued support for the Tribal Youth Diversion Effort in Anchorage; (4) Re-entry services for Alaska Natives; (5) Advocacy for Alaska Native offenders, victims and individuals involved in civil matters through the Anchorage-based office and Rural Legal Outreach Clinics; and (6) Leadership and support for crime victims and crime victim agencies.
