Description: This program is to be a cooperative effort lead by Mississippi State University (MSU) to address needed training of state and local law enforcement officials in counter-computer crime techniques ¿ particularly in the technical area of computer forensics tools and processes, and more generally in combating computer crime. The purpose of this Federal/State/University collaboration is to bring together the limited computer crime investigation expertise within the state; consolidate and share current tools and processes; and create a regional capability for training state and local law enforcement officials in modern techniques necessary for combating the growing incidence of computer-based crime.
