Description: The University of Arizona was awarded this grant to support the establishment of an Indigenous Peoples Law & Policy (IPLP) Project, that will train students and professionals to work with Native American Indian tribes to promote self-governance and policy development. Presently, there is no permanently funded North American center that provides such high-level legal training and service to indigenous peoples in the areas of indigenous law and policy. The University of Arizona seeks to use the grant over a period of three years. The budget narrative and budget describes the IPLP Project activities to be supported annually during the three year period, along with other substantial, targeted, in-kind dollar contributions from the University of Arizona in support of specific Project activities
