Description: Under this award Perot Systems will: (1) Develop, verify and validate technical and user criteria and requirements for the design and proof of concept for a data confidence capability to support the gathering and sharing of intelligence and criminal data. This software, once developed and potentially integrated with commercially available software, will eventually be made available to multiple agencies for intelligence collaboration and analysis with the goal of assisting in the prevention of criminal and terrorist activities. (2) Research the capabilities of commercially available software to meet the requirements set forth in the first objective. The goal is to find advanced software that will begin to develop a framework for the integration of a confidence network capability and that will be compatible with the conceptual goals of this program. (3) Gather appropriate data (if available) from various sources that will provide a baseline for testing and demonstrating the data sharing and confidence capability. (4) Review existing NIJ XML data standards for applicability as a format and potentially as an input guideline for intelligence related data. (5) Assess the feasibility of the design concept and make a recommendation to NIJ regarding the feasibility of further developing this software beyond the initial prototype phase.
