Description: The Whitman-Walker Clinic is implementing their Legal Services Program (WWCLS). They are providing legal services to their clients, HIV positive persons in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area who have a history of incarceration. They are assisting their client re-enter the community after incarceration. The Whitman-Walker Clinic also helps their clients understand their rights to medical confidentiality. WWCLS Program staff are helping clients gain access health care and obtain income through public benefits programs when they are too sick to seek employment. A line item in the FY 2005 Congressional budget provides funding to the Whitman-Walker Clinic for the Re-Entry Assistance Project for Persons with HIV/AIDS.
