Description: The earmark funds will be used by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe to implement an electronic network system using the latest hardware and software standardized operations, increase communication capabilities, reduce paperwork, compile practical data and create a seamless service delivery system among five programs they manage. The five programs that the tribe manages provide direct services specifically to disadvantaged youths on the Rosebud Reservation: Wanbli Wiconi Tipi-Juvenile Detention Center, Court System with Wellness and Diversion programs, Police Department, Alcoholism Program, and Piya Mani Otipi (therapeutic group home and delinquency prevention program). The new software will create a system of information sharing between the programs. Additional improvements include the tribal court system and the Mani Otipi Program. The court system software will be upgraded to reflect recording, tracking and compiling of court documents. The Mani Otipi Program will receive funding for aftercare and alcohol treatment programs.
