Description: The Center for Women Policy Studies will support the implementation of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2003 by promoting comprehensive model state legislation to combat the trafficking of women and girls within the United States through its National Institute on State Policy on Trafficking of Women and Girls. The Institute will encourage states to support programs currently funded solely by federal agencies - to provide services to women and girls who have been trafficked into the state; to provide training for state and local law enforcement, social services, health care and other agencies; and to bring state law in line with the provisions of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2003.
