Description: The Bodega Association of the United States will use $394,657 in funding to install security and surveillance equipment in 225 stores in New York City. The funds are made available through the FY 2005 Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance Discretionary Grants Program. Each store will receive $1,200 worth of equipment including an alarm system, video camera, VCR, and a 15" monitor. Stores will be selected in coordination with the New York City Police Department and the City Council.
