Description: The Northwest Fund is working with community-based organizations and community members to reduce crime and help ensure that neighborhood revitalization in Northwest Philadelphia continues. The Northwest Fund is training and organizing community members to help them identify and report crime patterns to police, community-based organizations, and community members. They are providing community-based organizations the resources they need to reduce crime in their communities. A line item in the FY 2005 Congressional budget provides funding to the Northwest Fund for the Northwest Neighborhood Transformation Initiative.
