Description: WINGS (Women In Need Growing Stronger) Safe House is the only emergency shelter in Chicago's northwest suburbs. WINGS will assist female victims of domestic violence and their children. WINGS Safe House will bridge the gap in services already offered and will provide a safe, confidential location where these women can stabilize their situation. WINGS will provide these individuals with information and techniques to prevent the cycle of violence in their lives and in the lives of those around them. Women will be given the resources to escape domestic violence and tools to build healthy, violence-free lives, independent from their abusers. WINGS Crisis Lines will assist women with immediate information and intervention services.
