Description: The purpose of this earmark is to broaden the scope of the Texas Center for Forensic Science by utilizing the educational resources of the Criminal Justice Center at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. This earmark will provide resources for training law enforcement, investigative and judicial personnel, and enhance the local agencies¿ capacity for the identification, collection, preservation and safeguarding of digital evidence. By combining expertise in Digital Forensics through existing world-class facilities and programs in Criminal Justice, the Centers will position law enforcement personnel on the cutting edge of digital investigation and research.
