Description: The purpose of this project is to maintain, operate and enhance the Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The Center provides resources for training law enforcement, investigative and judicial personnel. The Center enhances the local agencies¿ capacity for the identification, collection, preservation and safeguarding of digital evidence. The Center also provides on-line resources such as case studies, a digital library and software resources for distance training purposes. By combing expertise in Digital Forensics with existing world-class facilities and programs in Criminal Justice the Center can position law enforcement personnel on the cutting edge of digital investigation.
