Description: The Megan Nicole Kanka Foundation is expanding the "Check `Em Out" Program in the State of New Jersey. They are encouraging municipalities to pass ordinances requiring non-profit sport organizations to conduct fingerprint checks on their coaches/managers. The Foundation is covering 50% of the costs municipalities are incurring to conduct fingerprint checks. They are also encouraging as many sports leagues as possible to require fingerprint background checks on employees to ensure that there are no convicted sex offenders coaching children. The Megan Nicole Kanka Foundation is raising the awareness of the risk that pedophiles pose to children in communities around the State of New Jersey.
