Description: The Rhode Island Police Department will use the funds to conduct law enforcement trainings for the Department. The Department's goal is to increase the visibility and accessibility of police officers by building positive relationships based on open communications with the community, use current and reliable data to drive the deployment of public safety resources, work in partnership with local, state, and federal agencies to enhance the Department's capacity to respond to any emergency or disaster that may occur in the city, and provide cutting edge trainings opportunities to members of the Department so they can reach their full potential and better serve the Providence community.
