Description: A line item in the FY 2005 Congressional budget provides funding to the City of Tchula Police Department. The Tchula Police Department is purchasing office and law enforcement equipment for a new municipal complex now under construction in the City of Tchula. They are addressing a lack of sufficient work area and the most basic office and law enforcement equipment needs to carry out their day-to-day work assignments as a community oriented police department. They are instituting a new computerized reporting system to decrease the amount of time spent logging reports; and enhancing office efficiency by instituting a standardized filing system. The City of Tchula is decreasing crime and improving law enforcement services to the community.
