Description: The Fulton County District Attorneys Office will use $98,664 to support a multi-agency cold case squad, a victim advocate and DNA testing. The Fulton County Multi-Agency Cold Case Squad is an investigative team that examines both unsolved homicides and sexual assaults. The team consists of six full-time investigators, and includes one paralegal/statistician and an Assistant District Attorney. Cases are selected from the law enforcement jurisdictions within the County. The victim advocate will provide crucial assistance for crime victims who are dealing with the trauma of being victimized while negotiating the court system. Funds will also be used to cover the outsourcing cost for DNA testing of aged evidence.
