Citation Excerpt: Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, Title V, Part D, Subpart 15. Arts in Education SEC. 5551. ASSISTANCE FOR ARTS EDUCATION. (b) AUTHORITY.The Secretary is authorized to make grants to, or enter into contracts or cooperative agreements with, eligible entities described in subsection (c). (c) ELIGIBLE ENTITIES.'The Secretary may make assistance available under subsection (b) to each of the following eligible entities: ''(8) Supporting model projects and programs by Very Special Arts which assure the participation in mainstream settings in arts and education programs of individuals with disabilities. FY 2005 Appropriations conference report (H. Rept. 108-792): For Arts in Education, the conferees intend that within this total, $7,500,000 is for Very Special Arts, $6,420,000 is for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
