Description: The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, through its affiliate, the Council for Jewish Elderly, is conducting a demonstration of supportive services for seniors aging in place in two communities in the greater Chicago area. One is in a condo neighborhood on the north side of the City of Chicago and the second is in a condo complex in a Southside Chicago suburb. The program goals are to enhance the ability of seniors to continue living independently in the community through increased access to needed supportive services, to improve healthy aging for older adults through NORC services, programs and community involvement, and to establish a framework that will facilitate seniors' use of the services/programs and sustain their involvement.
