Grantee partners have established a Supportive Seniors Outreach Council to plan outreach activities and help the grantee engage other organizations, agencies, institutions and businesses in volunteer and educational activities concerning the challenges of older adults living alone. The primary emphasis is on reaching older adults who have, or are at risk of, depression and other emotional disorders, and on providing counseling, case management, volunteer visitations and/or emergency financial assistance to them.
