Blackfoot Challenge

Description: The Blackfoot Challenge, comprised of local landowners, federal and state land managers, local government officials and corporate landowners, has been working in the Blackfoot Valley for 10 years to coordinate conservation efforts in the watershed. This project is the phased acquisition of 24,100 acres of land held by the Nature Conservancy. This land protects exceptional biological diversity, wildlife habitat and rural character from the impacts of rural residential subdivision.
