Description: Funding will integrate passive RFID within an Automated Information System (AIS), thereby accelerating the implementation of passive RFID technology for tagging supplies for delivery to field units. This initial implementation would allow the Navy to begin to exploit passive RFID technology while simultaneously providing the necessary experience and data to allow us to enumerate the actual costs and benefits of deploying passive RFID technology Navy-wide.
