Description: This multi-phased congressionally funded program began in May 1995. Initial objectives were to develop Computer-based Patient record enhancements to the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and initiate an assessment of telecommunications capabilities in the Pacific. Continuing emphasis was placed on the development and transfer of telemedicine technology, with the intent of improving the quality of care received by military families and Federal beneficiaries.
