Description: The goal of the Nanoscience Technology Missile Defense NTMD) program is to develop proof-of-principle prototypes of missile defense hardware with nanotechnology device or material enhancements or new applications comprised of nanowires made from materials such gallium, indium, silicon, doped silicon, tungsten oxide, carbon, etc. Assemble prototype devices and connect to the macro-world for test and evaluation. Applications include electrical, optical, and mechanical with device dimensions ranging from 50 nanometers to 5 microns.
