Description: The Weather Intelligence Sensor System (WISS) is a new program to develop a lightweight passive weather suite to collect local weather parameters. This information is critical to radio/satellite communications transmissions and ballistic accuracy. In addition, other potential use for the WISS includes monitoring of atmospheric conditions as a predictive tool to track airborne biological/chemical agents and the spread of forest fires.
