Description: Rapid Prototying TACOM-UMD: The proposed effort is collection of smaller efforts focusing from logistics to rapid manufacturing. The effort is focused on decreasing time for manufacturing military spare parts. The NIU is working with industry in the following areas of research: Commercial vs. Military procurement costs benchmarking; Production process improvements; and Virtual Supply Chain Network.
