Description: High Strength, Powder Metal Gears for Vehicle Transmission: Develop, in conjunction with Penn State University, powdered metal gears for military vehicles which have gone through a unique process called ausform finishing. Initial application of ausform-finished gears is currently targeted for military vehicles such as the HUMVEE, but additional uses could include military aircraft and commercial vehicles.
