Fuel Cell Ground Support Equipment Demonstration

Description: Fuel Cell Ground Support Equipment Demonstration: The U.S. Army Tank and Automotive-armaments Command (TACOM), Kettering University, Ballard Power Systems (BPS), and the U.S. Air Force ['project partners'] will conduct research, development, and field trial activities necessary to deliver next-generation prototypes of PEM fuel cell technology suitable for mid and heavy-duty Ground Support Equipment (GSE) applications on U.S. military bases. Project partners will establish procedures for monitoring, data collection, testing & evaluation against military specific requirements, and reporting. Kettering University will coordinate data collection from each location, analyze technology performance, conduct select testing and evaluation activities, provide Ballard Power Systems with real-time performance data. Ballard Power Systems will develop and deliver a limited number of prototypes of next-generation PEM fuel cell technology for use in mid/heavy duty GSE applications on military bases.
