1 recipient will receive $2,017,000. This is a first-time earmark.
Year Enacted: 2005
Description: Compressor Blades Wear Resistant Ceramic Coating: 'Main Rotor and Anti-Torque Blade Erosion Resistant Ceramic Coating' and 'Compressor Blades Wear-Resistant Ceramic Coating' were received on different Congressionals, but were part of the same effort for ARCOMAC. The initial idea was to focus on helicopter rotors and engine turbine blades, but the eventual goal goal was to determine if these coatings could also be scaled up for low cost, wear resistant coatings for large caliber, high wear/erosion/corrosion parts.
