Year Enacted: 2005
Description: Civilian Medical Response Center (CIMERC) has developed strategic partnerships with many government and non-government organizations to integrate the diverse interests and expertise of the respective institutes from a preparedness perspective. Through the development of innovative technology, critical training programs, and policy analysis and guidance, CIMERC is a building a depth of knowledge and experience to improve civilian and military efforts for complex medical emergency planning and response. The four focus areas of this project will be 1) Command and Control Operational Capabilities; 2) Biodefense Assessment, Implementation, and Evaluation; 3) Readiness and Response Training; and 4) Prevention and Remediation.
