Description: The primary objective of this research effort is to integrate ViTel Net`s `MedVizer` software and Dvision toolkit with a wireless personal digital assistant device to enable access to existing medical informatics systems, medical records, clinical repositories, and other knowledge bases at the `point of care.` The overarching goal is to enable the healthcare provider to have full access to available medical informatics and to provide a means for wireless entry of new information (via a handheld device) across relevant information management systems.
