Description: In the third year of the 5-year CeMBR program, we will continue our four ongoing research projects and expand our unique program with four new research projects to (i) identify and develop biomaterial-based technologies and products that specifically target the military s most urgent health care needs on and off the battlefield; (ii) create a unique industrial-academicclinical network that enables rapid and effective utilization of biomaterials by the military; (iii) organize and facilitate the R&D work of core faculty and industrial partner laboratories; (iv) provide the military with a panel of nationally renowned scientific advisors for project selection and outcomes evaluation; (v) develop a group of facilities and production sites to support critical, enabling technologies; and (vi) link the military with companies dedicated to the development of breakthrough products specifically designed for military needs.
